Here's an interesting pipe, and a good buy at first blush....till you look the last picture.
I can't read the hallmark, but guessing 20's to 30's? Great history on this brand, I did one for Jon Guss:

And the surprise...who pays $100 for this??

I emailed the seller and suggested as much, without pushing the matter.

Kottan, I believe Dunhill catered to women to a rather significant extent.

Yes as far as tobacco products are concerned. I was thinking more of clothing items. In this respect, Dunhill was primarily a so-called men's outfitter.Today, the once great pipe brand has degenerated into a small niche in a huge Swiss luxury goods corporation. Not even the old brand name may be stamped on the pipes.

It's always fun watching a 499 go at auction.

The C's has some damage (just cosmetic) and it looks like it was oiled prior to photographing, need a bit more restoration.

Yikes! the date looks like 1919 and the pipe was made by Delacour.

Spiffing ! Also quite expensive and slippery as a baby seal.

Intriguing ODA 837 in the more rare Root Briar finish.
Wonderful grain on this one too.
Pipe looks to be in fine condition; price is imho not over the top.
The pictures do not reveal much of the stampings.
Given the smaller, celluloid looking dot, my intuition tells me this is a patent pipe.
Please share your learned opions with me.

My guess, not long. I suppose they would put a band on it. In 2019, I sold a 9242 for a pretty high price, and it had a disclosed cracked/repaired button, sold almost immediately, so I probably had it priced too low.
May be but I am sure on the other hand you are a fair seller. I often see some telling a pack of lies.
