Yeah I saw your hoarde lol.naw, only 4 pounds 4 ounces.
4 ounces to try, 4 pounds to cellar =[]
I did hook a few people in the forum up with the notice it was in stock though =[]
Now if I could have snagged a little bit more hiking... I probably would not have passed it up.
Hah that was you? I noticed those 5 hiking left and sent notified @KingPiper so he could get them from this thread, and boom you snagged them! I didn't buy them just so he could have them =]Yeah I saw your hoarde lol.
I got WV's last 5 Hiking a few days ago.. along with my 6 of HH that's enough for me. As I said, not a huge burley guy but I do enjoy it occasionally so I figured I may as well snag the last of the popular flakes so I can try them out one day.
While I have my favorites, I'm an extremely eclectic smoker so.. I ended up buying alot of stuff the last few months that I'd wanted to try for awhile simply because I knew it was the last time I'd ever be able to.
In some ways it may suck to find out ya like something a couple years after it's discontinued but I figure it's better than never being able to experience it at all. Is it better to love and lose? One of the philosopher's greatest... Lol
I want to see your cellarnaw, only 4 pounds 4 ounces.

No you don't, its unorganized.....I want to see your cellar![]()
Tell me about it... 172 tins worth (1 tin = 1.75 oz or 50g, so a 3.5 oz tin I count as 2 and a 1 lb box I count as 9) of 129 different blends...No you don't, its unorganized.....
I am keeping half of it at my neighbor's house
(J/k)
I figure after about a month when all the scraps come in from the great Sutliff debacle I will get it all organized.
Sealing a lot of the loose pound bags into mylar, which I haven't done yet.
I'd tell you, you could always store a bit at my house but.....
Not even close. LJP burley is amazing mind you, but it's a totally different style/direction.Do any of the Peretti burleys fit the bill? 111, 333, BPC? I have not tried these but will be placing an order soon.
Wow what a small community we are. Bought em right out from under meHah that was you? I noticed those 5 hiking left and sent notified @KingPiper so he could get them from this thread, and boom you snagged them! I didn't buy them just so he could have them =]
Within mins of me sending him they were in stock you picked them off, Its ok, I put him on some Wessex burley though when it came in stock.
Well, you are clearly the winner this time. I was trying to add those to my cart as you bought em up.I got WV's last 5 Hiking a few days ago..
I'm sorry my man :/ lolWow what a small community we are. Bought em right out from under meThats too funny.
Nah no hard feelings here. I hope you enjoy it but if not I am sure I can figure out what to do with it lol.I'm sorry my man :/ lol
If it makes ya feel any better I'm sure there's a few guys on here that have pipes that were to be mine that I still sulk over to this day haha
Promise if I end up not liking it you'll be the first to know![]()
I ordered DD, 333, BPC samples along with another 8 oz. of Tashkent because it is great. Luckily, I got 10 tins of HH Burley Flake before doomsday occurred which will probably last me 10 years or so. Looking forward to trying some of these for something different. Not even close. LJP burley is amazing mind you, but it's a totally different style/direction.
LJP burley tends to be much more floral and tea-like. If you were to compare them to other burley, probably the closest I can think of offhand is C&D Eight State Burley, but I've only had that once (2024 iteration I believe), so I can't say for certain on that (I don't know how much Eight State changes every year).
ODF is in stock at SP... not much though only 5 pounds left. Not RR but the Flake. Still no Burley though...I ordered DD, 333, BPC samples along with another 8 oz. of Tashkent because it is great. HH Pure VA is still available some places. HH Burley stuck around for a while. ODF went really fast when the news came out.
Not any more. Just checked out of curiosity. Too many lurkers.ODF is in stock at SP... not much though only 5 pounds left. Not RR but the Flake. Still no Burley though...

Naw. It stayed around for about 3-4 hours when I noticed it. It slowly decreased by 1 in stock every hour or so.Not any more. Just checked out of curiosity. Too many lurkers.
Peretti DD is pretty neat and I like it quite a bit. It has a floral topping to it (not anywhere near as strong as the topping on No Name or Original). The floral Peretti blends are gems.I ordered DD, 333, BPC samples along with another 8 oz. of Tashkent because it is great. And to anyone reading any of us talk about Peretti being floral with regard to these blends, it's nothing like the kind of floral that Ennerdale is, so don't let that scare you if you—wrongly—dislike Ennerdale, LJP is not even close to the same kind of floral.Peretti DD is pretty neat and I like it quite a bit.
