Smoking the Kajun Kake. I have never had good luck with C&D blends, but this has a good flavor and was the perfect moisture right out of the bag. The Perique is there by subtle. Here is a pic of my inaugural Box Pass bowl!

@shanelktown, The box pass threads of yore are a good read as well a prerequisite to joining. As the wise organizer of this bunch has mentioned, the box pass will be (and has been) around for some time.

 Dan, you get me to laugh like no one else here. Thanks as always. Now go back to your skimming off the top of your box pass, stealing all the Esoterica and Prince Albert.

Well I had an eventful evening thanks to the box. Politicalmonster and I got together, also a forum member. He was just as amazed as I am about the staggering number of blends in the box. We had a great time of fellowship and sampled a few blends from the box. Surprisingly the standout blend of the evening was "Wafflehouse", which is funny because neither of us really smoke aros much. We have similar palates and smoke more English and flakes, but the name and the bag smell overpowered us and we both had a bowl. And not only is the tin note and room note wonderful, it had a nice taste and no bite whatsoever. I think we are both going to order some of this. Also today I smoked some Wessex Brown Flake. I love Brigaid Campaign but that is the only Wessex I have had. The brown flake is more mellow but still has a good taste. And lastly tonight I had Dan treasures of Ireland Limerick. I smoke a few Dan tobaccos but had not had this one, also was a pleasant smoke. Politicalmonster took a couple bowls of a couple blends that he fancied and contributed hearty samples of Iwan Ries 3 Star Royale, Davidoff Flake Medallions, and H&H Capital Stairs to go into the box with my contributions. I have gone through the box and pulled out 35 blends that intrigued me and that I have not had before. I don't know that I will really sample them all, but have already tried 4. My next smoke is probably going to be Union Square, if I can squeeze in a smoke tomorrow.

Woo hoo!
Wafflehouse!! From the Tacoma Tinderbox! I can get you guys more if you like.
The Tacoma Tinderbox isn't linked to the "Tinderbox" website that comes up. You have to call them direct.
Due to my intro to that blend at the very beginning of my smoking career, I never developed the soft spot for 1-Q that so many others have. If I want my old school Aro, it is the Wafflehouse!

Folks, let's welcome shanelktown to The Box Pass. He's a little underage right now, but with the queue that's in front of him, I figure that he might see The Box sometime in mid-2027.
Welcome aboard, sir.

Welcome, Shanelktown! By 2027 the Virginia blends in the box should be sublime! Or sublimated into a powdery gas. Then you won't even have to light them to smoke them.
With the rave reviews of Waffle House, I am now kicking myself for not grabbing a bowlful. I have a decent range of aros in my cellar, most of which I'm not completely sold on, so I stayed away from most of the aromatic offerings in the Box Pass. Oh well.
I did finally get around to trying the St. Bruno RR. Maybe it was the pipe I smoked it in or a flaw in my lighting procedure, but it initially tasted like so many others in my aforementioned aro collection, kind of the same average, base tobacco flavor with a less-than-expected topping flavor. As the bowl progressed, however, the flavor blossomed a bit and became more interesting. We'll see what the second half of the bowl has in store tomorrow.
Love the pics, shaintiques!

Awesome, exactly what I was looking for. It seems like I was a bit confused when it was said "The Tacoma Tinderbox isn't linked to the "Tinderbox" website that comes up." I can now order conscience free!

Hi hi! Sorry guys. My kiddo had a basketball game and then we were doing a final look over and putting an offer in on a house.
That IS the site for Tinderbox Tacoma. Waffle house is goood stuff. Sorry the prices are a tad high. Nature of the beast here in WA.
