Ordered some essential supplies that came in today.
And my in-laws are staying the night, and my mother in law surprised me with this!
I have the greatest mother in law ever!
So far she has bought me a leather tobacco pouch, a glass tobacco jar similar to the one pictured, and now this stand with jar! She thinks it's great that I'm a pipe smoker.
Now to figure out what 3 pipes I keep, and put in this stand...oh cause the rest will most likely get sold now.

Very cool gift! Are you serious, though, about really only keeping three pipes? If so will this include your Grabow?
I am serious, just not positive yet. I may just sell most and lock up the rest.

That Grabow needs to be enclosed in a glass case. Will make for a good conversation piece.
Enjoying bowl 713 as we speak. This is my tenth bowl so far today. A lot of time working on the yard, and burning stuff.

I have a Decatur pipe reamer. T handle style, with 4 size interchangable blades.
Do you not like the Grabow, or just because it's smoked out?

I like it enough, it's just not one of my favorites. I may display it though....hahaha
Bowl 740 was my first ever try of Sir Walter Raleigh. I ordered a tub of Carter Hall, and figured for 3.00, why not add it to my order.

I also got a pouch and haven’t opened it. How does it compare to Carter Hall? More or less nutty? Chocolate/flavouring stronger or not? Could you tell the difference in a blind test, and what would give it away?
Well I only had one bowl, so it's hard to tell. But it seemed more like Prince Albert to me. Less nutty. More bright. But it was a good Burley smoke and I had no complaints
If you have a local cigarette store, give them a visit. Around here you can get tubs of CH, PA, and SWR for $30.
Yeah I used to be able to get my Carter Hall from the grocery store, and the last house I owned, had a had station near by. They ordered Carter Hall pouches for me.
I can get the tubs for 28.00 online, but it's 10 for shipping. Which I'm ok with. That's still the cheapest around.
