    Finally Here

I thimk this is the article you are talking about: https://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/14/magazine/tobacco-thats-so-brooklyn-but-made-in-belgium.html?fbclid=IwAR1SLhEkYlHhZwmmmu-R8Sfdj3kiHY7pu7p5coNjNii91cVV98QDmsgkhX8

    Finally Here

The first thing that comes to mind is that episode in that Borgias tv show with Jeremy Irons, when he gets cigars from the new world and asks "what are they, turds?". And two scenes later Lucretia pops in and asks what on earth is he doing, as the pope was puffing a stogie in his throne, and he...

    Finally Here

Well, here is my two pennies on it. I am definitely on the love it camp, and will attempt to get more as the budget may allow. Keeping a box of these around, instead of my regular cigars (which for me means two three sticks a month) is an ideea...

    Finally Here

    Finally Here

Yes, I got them from Belgium. I live in the EU now, so this was available over the internet, DHL taxed us about EUR 12 for shipping. Like cosmic said. The story of the tobacco overall is about a bit over a century old. Some school teacher in the Ardens started planting Burley tobacco at the...

    Finally Here

Well they are in. I have anticipated this for a while, so here goes nothing. I will certainly write a review if I survive the experience :D Any thoughts on what pipe I should use for the bouchon?

RIP Murray Walker: The Voice Of Formula 1.

RIP .. he was before my time, but I did see some old recordings on you tube with him commentating... he was quite emblematic.

***What Are You Smoking, March 2021?***

I still have some of that Heath and Home black house left ... it's a Sunday treat, in my 90s size 4 Dunhill Bulldog. Filter less boys ... I guess I can indulge once a week ;)

    Tobaccoreviews.com

They took out the alphabetical arranged database ... that sucks. If I didn't know exactly how a blend was named or even spelled, I would find it manually. This is going to be a mess .. it looks pretty but what's the point if you can't get what you need out of it..

***What Are You Smoking, February 2021?***

Going back to my beloved altinay half bent meer billiard, with and Ashton's Winding Road this time :)

How Many Companies Make Lakeland Tobacco

Funny you should mention, I just got a tin and I got it because it was advertised as Va/Bur. But I guess what makes a Lakeland ... or better said what makes a lakeland style of tobacco (it seems here to be a bit of DOC problem, similar to cognac vs brandy), is the topping. So now I am looking...

Welcome to the Circus in an Altinay meer, and some Turkish coffee

    Tabac Manil - Semois Burley

I wonder why is that, I suppose that it has something to do with the draconian tobacco legislation over there. Not that ours is any better .. you don't want to know how much the prices for Samuel Gawith jumped since Brexit. Any road, how is Samuel Gawith in the US by the way, can one easily get it?

    Tabac Manil - Semois Burley

I was recently turned on to this by a fellow clubman, in fact a bunch of us pulled together and reached out to mr Vincent Manil in order to place a larger order with him. I am dying of curiosity, especially after reading this article...
