Hemp Wicks....

+1 for Tashkent and Cuban mixture. The first if you like Oriental/Latakia and it is one of the few mixtures which does not have anything else from them. The second while technically considered a Burley blend it is an excellent mixture of nearly any component baccy you might think.- 64alex

Which Tobacco Has The Best *Burning* Characteristics?
More than the tobacco it is how much dry it is which makes it burning easier, I would say any tobacco when properly dried burns well. I am happy if it works for you. My only comment is related to what we have to consider "Storing for Long Haul" which was the title of your post.
