Hmm,
Just tried (for the first time) a burly blend. Peretti Cuban Mixture. I have never had a burley blend so I am thinking I will have to give this one several more smokes before I see if I like burleys. I smoked it in a Peterson Kapmeer estate pipe and was wondering if the pipe may have had some influence on the tobacco. I have a few other non-estate pipes that I have smoked mostly Lane BCA and TK-6 in and some English blends. Does anyone think that a Kapmeer might not smoke as pure as a non-estate meerschaum?
I also tried the Peretti Coffee and I seemed to like it better. If I smoke it very slowly, I get a better taste of the coffee flavor. Subtle, but there when I smoke it right. Anyone else have experience with the Peretti Coffee and your thoughts? Also, any suggestions on smoking the Cuban Mixture. I know there are good reviews from burley smokers about this blend. How long would you say it would take until I get a taste for the burleys. Also, I have read the burley mixtures have a higher nicotine, but I didn't really feel that with the Cuban Mixture. I don't smoke for a nic hit, actually I try to avoid it. Thoughts about the nicotine content in burleys?
