    My New Beauty!

Just bought this beauty. My first meer, not including a meer-lined Rattray which I really enjoy. Can’t wait for it to arrive. Been reading all the posts surrounding meerschaum smoking and maintenance. A little overwhelming, but I’m up for the challenge. Saved for a long time for this puppy.

    Your Own "Worst" Tobacco

Thanks! So many good ones I’ve heard about. Too bad my taste buds just won’t budge.

    Your Own "Worst" Tobacco

Feel free to list any anise flavoured tobaccos. I need to know what to avoid like a vampire to garlic! I just can’t do it. Even the slightest hint gets me running in the opposite direction.

Borkhum Riff Original - 2 years on shelf.

Only brand my dad smoked. Remember the smell like my childhood. I’ve got like 30 large old metal containers in the basement holding nails, screws and hardware that he collected. I smoke it once in a while, never understood why its looked down on so much. Personal preferences I guess. Then...

    Finally Finished!

It was fun. Can’t wait to start another. I usually spend my off time carving wooden toys for my kids.

    Finally Finished!

I’m not that good lol. It started out as a pre-drilled rectangular briar block.

    Finally Finished!

She’s not perfect, but it didn’t turn out too badly I think. Only my second pipe carved. No power tools. Used the stem from an old M. M. Cobbit, and drilled it out to take a 6mm filter. What type of pipe would this be called? A demi-churchwarden?

Didn't Worry About Packing and Guess What?

Yeah that’s where I’m at too. Sometimes it takes two pinches to fill. Sometimes three or four. As long as I don’t tamp it down too hard, seems ok. Then again, I’m not too concerned about the number of relights I have to do. Gives the ADHD something to do 😂.

    3d Stem

Any updates on anyone 3D printing stems? Types of non-toxic / heat resistant materials used? My son just bought himself a 3D printer, so naturally my mind went towards all the possible pipe applications that could exist. I’ve got a couple pipes whose stems are toast, and I’d love to be able...

If you don’t like the cob taste, smoke a stronger aromatic 😂.

    9mm Charcoal Filter Brand Comparisons

Yup. Just like 6mm aren’t standard either. They all want you to use their own proprietary filters.

Do Missouri Meerschaum Hardwoods Last Longer Than Cobs?

They do that. I’ve had 2 of my cobs vent in that same place. MM told me to just put a dab of white glue over the vent. Seems to work. Lol. Just saw Chasing Ember’s post. Second it.

    9mm vs 6mm pipes

I enjoy both, but my preference is 9mm. 6mm is a bit more restrictive, but not so much that it becomes much less enjoyable.

    Neerup Nylon Brushes

Does anyone use a chamber brush instead of paper towel or folded pipe cleaners?

    Neerup Nylon Brushes

Wondering if anyone uses these to maintain their pipes. I’ve seen they come in 3 sizes to deal with each pipe area. I currently use pipe cleaners followed by a paper towel cleaning of the chamber. Using a brush vs a paper towel to maintain the chamber seems a little less wasteful. Any...
