Wondering if anyone uses these to maintain their pipes. I’ve seen they come in 3 sizes to deal with each pipe area.

I currently use pipe cleaners followed by a paper towel cleaning of the chamber. Using a brush vs a paper towel to maintain the chamber seems a little less wasteful.

Any experiences? Thanks.

I have a similiar style brush for stems, I use it if I am scrubbing out a pile of dirty stems under the tap all at once, and then I move on to pipe cleaners. I would not consider it necessary, but it does work.

If I am cleaning a single pipe I never reach for it.

I just grabbed a 2-pack a week or so ago and they work quite nicely. Cleans a bit more thoroughly than twisted paper towel or similar -but I had no "problems" before. Gives a good scrub...

I use the mortise and shank brushes. I find them to be quicker than pipe cleaners to get the gunk out and they are reusable. I scrub with the brushes dipped in alcohol first then finish with pipe cleaners. I use a scraper on the chamber after every smoke to manage cake build up and have never tried a chamber brush.
