C&D Night Train in a Savinelli Riccio (author).

Wilke Wall Street in a cob with coffee.

    Irish Condor?

I have a number of the Polish plugs, ironically ordered from a shop in Ireland. I quite like them, but I've never had the original Irish ones, so there's that.

Making Your Own Blends from Your Cellar

I don't know Exclusive (never had it). As to Bayou Morning, it's definitely stronger nic-wise, but Bayou Morning is a tad stronger taste-wise.

Making Your Own Blends from Your Cellar

The only blending I've done, is occasionally I'll add about 1/3 C&D Granulated Perique to a bowl of 2/3 C&D Kelly's Coin. I don't think that even counts as blending, lol. I just do it sometimes when I want perique with Kelly's Coin. It does work out well though.

    Smoking a new pipe

I've actually never heard of coating a new bowl with honey. I don't think I would do that -- it doesn't seem necessary and if anything, it may impart a flavor to your tobacco.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2022?***

Winchester in a Nording Spruce. I'm having a sort of run-off of which all-day bulk ribbon smoke to keep handy (vs jarred in the cellar for now) between Cowboy Coffee, Wall Street, and Winchester.

    Don't You Just Hate It?

That's very true. It's actually pretty humid in the evenings here, but in the morning I put the little bowl I put it in into direct sunlight. Not long after that it's perfect. Your'e right it does depend on your local climate.

    Don't You Just Hate It?

It depends on the tobacco. I leave a flake of Mac Baren Bold Kentucky out almost every night. In the morning I can crumble it up to near dust and it smokes great and taste great, without the 5 or 10 relights. Other tobaccos maybe not such a good process. I find that Samuel Gawith or Gawith...

FDA Wants To Regulate Nicotine Levels

Well I believe that alcohol content has been limited to 100%

How to Press your Own Cake?

I think it has reward, for something you're going to cellar for a while. Pressing into a cake gives the tobacco certain qualities that are different than if jarred as ribbon for example. Melding of flavors is the most commonly cited example.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2022?***

HH Bold Kentucky in a MM poker with some rye (Russel's Reserve). I've found that I like this blend dried to where it crumbles in you hand. It doesn't seem to effect the taste at all, and you can actually smoke it without all the relights it seemed to take me smoking it right out of the jar.

    F-1, Formula-1, Top Dedicated Racing

Agreed. Sainz had all the stars aligned at the end, but _just_ not enough. I'm not so sure it was the packages, I think this one came down to a defending champion that wasn't intimidated, didn't waver, and made no mistakes. Sainz needed a mistake, however slight, to have a shot in my...

Semois (Reserve du Patron) in a Nording Spruce, with some red wine ('cause I'm out of beer which goes better with semois for me).

Why Switch from Cigarettes to Pipe?

For me, personal health-wise (at least cardio), quitting cigarettes and switching to pipes and cigars made a night and day difference for me. I am perfectly content to only retrohale pipes and cigars (and not every puff at that) and enjoy the nicotine buzz but never crave it like with...

    F-1, Formula-1, Top Dedicated Racing

Yeah I get that. Still, with all these additional races now I hate to see the historical classics dropping out. I assume they're making a lot more from the greatly extended calendar. In the end, I'd just like to say "Don't touch my Spa!"

    Weird Food

I've tried Beondegi (번데기) in Korea. A silkworm larvae side dish that's fried. It smelled like urine, and tasted like what I imagine urine would taste like. I noped out after a few.

    F-1, Formula-1, Top Dedicated Racing

Their new circuits frenzy is getting pretty annoying. For one thing, many of them just suck, and they're losing the historical roots the sport in the process. Losing Spa (my personal favorite) to yet another desert town's streets or fill-in-name-of-rich-country's newly designed track will be...
