***What Are You Smoking, June 2020?***

    Peretti's Cuban Mixture in a Peterson 80s.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2020?***

I spent a good long time smoking little else but No. 400 Flake. It makes for such a pleasant bowlful.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2020?***

Have you ever listened to Patrick Tull reading any of the Holmes stories?

***What Are You Smoking, June 2020?***

Stokkebye bullseye flake in an Eric Paulson Devil Anse.

    Stem Material

    So is mine.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2020?***

Escudo in a new-to-me Falcon shillelagh stem with a rusticated "bulldog" bowl.

***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

Nice indeed. I just finished up a bowl of 4Noggins' Bald Headed Teacher, and am now listening to Duke Ellington and Johnny Hodges together on their "Side by Side" album (Les Spann on guitar).

***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

Country Squire's Northwest Trek in a MM Missouri Pride cob. I liked Shepherd's Pie, but I'm not sure about this particular blend. This one tended to burn a bit hot at first, but it settled down about halfway down the bowl.

***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

I thought about buying a couple of tins of Sansepolcro when another batch gets released this coming week.

***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

A pleasant bowl of Wilke's Cherry Cavendish in a Volkan bullcap, capping off a productive afternoon and evening. The weather has turned rainy and cool, and I enjoyed blending the slight, creeping mist with billowy clouds of pipe tobacco. Evening, all, and smoke 'em in good health and peace.

***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

A bowlful of Watch City Old Dominion in a Briarworks blasted bullmoose. This is the first I've tried this particular blend, and it was really damp when I broke off a chunk to rub out...I gave it 30 minutes after breaking it up to dry and sit out, and it probably needed a little more. It's a...

I daresay she did, the little minx! Yellow ribbon, forsooth...'tis pity she's a whore.

***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

A rare 2-pipe evening, trying out a couple of samples from the Country Squire's blends: 1. Shepherd's Pie in an Eric Paulson chubby bulldog, and 2. Old Toby, in a MM Missouri Pride. The first I liked well enough to be happy to try again, but the Old Toby is probably not one I'll re-order.

***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

Speaking of Vikings, you look like you’re ready to board a dragon-prowed boat and sack the coastal villages of eastern England!

***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

A bowlful of Orlik's Dark Strong Kentucky in a Ropp bulldog with a horn bit (one of those Ropps that SmokingPipes has been selling, made from old turned stummels and old horn stock). A big mug of masala chai to accompany it. Anyone else like Indian tea? I make it every once in a while, using...

HU Tobacco -- Need Advice On An Order

I was asking the same questions recently. I'm building up a little fund, and will order a pile o' baccy from them to justify the shipping charge, which is pretty stout (around $45-50 USD to the West Coast, depending on the exchange rate).

***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

A bowl of Edgar G. Robinson's Blend in a MM Missouri Pride. We're having an unusually warm late spring day in my area of the Pacific Northwest (around 90 this afternoon; warm for this area, anyway, with apologies to those of you already suffering from heat and humidity!).

***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

Hope you don't have a suit on. That just sends the wrong sartorial signals. :col:

***What Are You Smoking, May 2020?***

Repeating a bowlful of Peretti's Cuban Mixture in a no-name meerschaum. This is a mighty fine blend. I can see why it's been a lasting recipe for the house.
