Tried mac baren and captain black cherry, although MB tobacco is much higher quality, both of them are Unsmokeable. Peterson Irish Oak & Dunhill Night Cap
I think night cap is a very good English blend (I always keep a tin around) however, for Dunhill blends I prefer 965 which is for me the best blend offered by Dunhill and EMP since it is a bit lighter than night cap (bit less nicotine fits my taste more). Although I believe in giving the pipe time to rest and always keeping it clean since it makes sense. Any pipe consists of several parts (at least two) and none of them has the same characteristics like the other. that is a nice and cheap method, I think it is main function will be to keep the smoke dry. I tried the paper filter once, it was a good and cheap way also. Al you are right, the more I work on this the differences appear more. for Vauen (the brand most of my pipes are) it is around 12-13 cm3 which is a bit more like dunhil group 5 average. For big Ben it is almost the same but they have really large chambers for a relatively small pipes. they go up...- cedeks
