Mac Baren Mixture vs Mixture Flake

So I'm curious. Those of you that have tried both Mac Baren Mixture and Mixture Flake, which do you prefer and why? I have only tried the regular mixture so far. It is my understanding they are the same blend, just in different form, so how do they compare to one another?

A bit like Scottish Mixture and Navy Flake? Those are very similar but Navy Flake tastes better.

There is a Mac Baren Mixture (Scottish Blend) and Mac Baren Mixture Flake.

Yes. From MacBaren's website:

I haven't smoked the flake. I am not a huge Mixture smoker, but I'll do a tin a year or so. A nice blend to have in the rotation.

Hello. Scottish mixture is my baby for a long time, smoked flake is more creamy, fresh, more simple in taste The original cut grows more flavor sometimes simple sometimes multicolore.Simplement my story.Good day

I have smoked the Scottish Blend of Mixture and like it. It is a regular tobacco in my mixture. I just tried the flake Mixture and like it also. I've only smoked it twice and only once when it was dried sufficiently, but I found the smoke to be slightly different. I found the flake to have a concentrated smoke, but with the same mild flavors. It smoked longer and slower. I'm still new to pipes but that is what I noticed. I'll be buying more flake in my future.

I only smoke scotish mixture,it's a nice blend esp in my country thar good Tb is very rare,I enjoy scotish mix. very much and decide to store many pouch of it because my country position,perhaps future will be foggy.

For me it is better canned 100g or 250 g moisture is perfect.I made 3 hours to dry mixture in ambient air and I am happy with the result .Good day smoking mixture. I have respect for your quality taste. ::

After trying almost all blends of Mac Baren, I think mixture is the best naturally aromatic (European aromatic) blend they have. So I definitely would suggest it. However, for the flakes you should try the navy flake it is really excellent blend and best Mac Baren flake. In all cases, for MB there are two things to mention: excellent tobacco quality and tongue bite if not smoked slowly
