The Finish on My Pipe is Damaged?

It could be as simple as the wax on the finished surface wore off from handling, heat, or whatever. Will it buff to a shine again? It isn't uncommon for a new pipe to loose wax a little more quickly than an older one with some buildup.

    Ben Wade by Preben Holm

Cash rent? What is land renting for in your area? Here in my part of Iowa rent runs $450-475/acre.

I don't know a thing about cane cutting. Where is the processor located at from where you live? I was wondering how far the cut cane has to get hauled.

    Ben Wade by Preben Holm

I'm not a clencher, so pipe weight was never a consideration for me. I love them for the beauty of the grain, the finishing styles, and the flow of the freehand shapes they produced. My Unicorn Sable from new sponsor Dave Neeb arrived is yesterday's post. Its beautiful and is smoking like a...

    Pipe Babe at Sea

Nice pic, but really.... I either need more pipe close-ups or less clothes on the babe. Both would work for me.

    Did I salvage it? Opinions...

I'd agree with the other opinions about the pickaxe shape. I think its one of the most dramatic freehand styles and makes it a real eye catcher. The grain and the shape will work to make that pipe a real stunner! 8) No pressure now...don't screw it up again. :nana:

Please Welcome Dave Neeb & MKELAW Pipes

I'm a sucker for Ben Wades. The Unicorn Sable was too damn tempting. Thanks in advance Dave.

    Fall Harvest Under Way

It is a feed ingredient for the cattle. Younger animals need rations with more roughage, such as hay, cornstalks, or this corn silage, to promote growth. As the animals mature they move to rations that are more protein intensive to promote fattening. The proportion of silage in the ration...

    Fall Harvest Under Way

Too much to do. I rarely smoke while working. I had a pipe Sunday, and part of one right while now posting this. Gawith's Best Brown Flake. :puffy: Otherwise, its just too much hassle and I'm too busy to enjoy it. It starts out as fun, but then it quickly turns into a grind. That's probably...

    Fall Harvest Under Way

I thought I'd post a few pics from the farm and share a bit about what we're doing now. 8) We make silage by chopping corn plants and storing them in silos. The plant material undergoes a fermentation process and the starches convert to sugars. Well made silage smells exactly like a sweet Va...

Cant stop thinking this after shopping at Whole Foods....

I'm just beginning harvest, almost three weeks early because of the drought. Lots of hours, little computer time, and almost no pipe smoking. :crying: If I had more time and energy I'd be happy to point out some serious misconceptions about organic/natural foods being pronounced here as fact...
