Finding Prince Albert in 88 cans is no pipe dream

My gumshoe instinct suspects evidence of a theft. Cool story!

What are you Smoking? March 2012

Had to dig the shorts out for the back porch this Sunday. Key Largo in the pipe fits the bill. Sinatra blue skies and mid upper 70's on the high desert today. :puffy:

Borkum Riff - Motherlode Review & Info

I remember finding BR Whiskey very bitey when I first tried it. I moved away from it for years but I saw a pouch on the shelf recently with new art, etc so I gave it a shot. I honestly believe that this 'baccy has been improved not only in mellowness but also in quality of leaf. In spite of...

    Charred corncob: advice needed.

True, bigvan. I think what really sold him on the pipe was the stem. Oudis, if you go to the Missouri Meerschaum site, maybe you can find a cob that matches the bowl you have. Pick it up for around five or ten bucks and use the stem you have. Full restoration complete.

    Charred corncob: advice needed.

Some light sanding and a little spit polish on the rim should do it. I just finished up my MM Country Gentleman and it looks A-OK to me.

I Feel Hated and Discrimnated Against

I live in modern day Sodom - Las Vegas and yet we have the most churches per capita in the USA - the irony is not lost on me either, baron. Oudis: I'm with you brutha!

    Pipe Tobacco Storage Jars

+1. I love it when we can re-purpose something that would usually end up in a land fill. I comb the Savers and thrift stores circuit every now and then and have found some nice bail top jars with rubber gaskets. Old candy jars with the plastic stoppers work pretty good too. I usually wad a...

    Walt Disney World

Hey, Philip thanks for that old pic! I was going to say that Disneyland California used to have a tobacco shop right on Main Street USA, and there's a pic. Uncle Walt had the right vibe when he opened the park. My how things have changed there today...

    McClelland Grand Orientals

Happy birthday! Dunhill Elizabethan? Has this 'baccy been rebooted or is it some of the old stuff? One of the all time classic VaPers. Jealous!

    McClellands

Add No. 24 to the growing list of outstanding McC blends in this thread. I just opened a tin dated from 2006 today and I am in Virginia heaven. McClelland are masters of the virginia flake, IMHO.

    Deertongue

I have had it in C&D Crooner, as well. It imparts and herbal "vanilla-esque" aroma to a blend. The taste is more of a "mintiness". Not menthol like a cigarette. More like fresh mint you find growing wild all over the world. I like it. Some can't stand it. Bing Crosby allegedly loved the...

    We're Moving

Sorry to hear this Cyndi. I live in Las Vegas - the poster child of the foreclosure crisis - and it ain't pretty. I was out of work for three years here and just recently got re-employed. Luckily I have a great family support system and was able to make it through. Sending good thoughts your way.

    Dan Tobacco's Old Ironsides....smoke it?

It is the Messin' with Sasquatch Beef Jerky of latakia flakes, IMO. I love it. Oily, inky black flakes of latakia overload. Very cool smoking. Never bites.
