Unfortunately, I am working this weekend and am not able to me the road trip to Edwards. Not sure if it got off the ground, but I planned to head over anyway. So, how about rescheduling a weekend in mid July to give plenty of planning time. What say?- badbriar

What Am I Not Getting About Virginias?
OP - lots of us take a while to develop the finesse for smoking Virginias. Personally, I love the aroma and taste of Virginias. Nothing quite like opening a new tin of St. James Flake! Unlike English and most other blends, Virginias require no small amount of talent to rub / fold / cut, etc...- badbriar

GH Dark Flake - Unscented in a retired Grabow 83...with accompanying Bulliet Rye with a cube. Wonderful flake from across the pond. This is the strongest pipe tobacco I've enjoyed thus far. Actually gave me a slight buzz. Brought out the sweetness in the Rye. Just right for a warm, humid...- badbriar

Do I Need a New Pipe?
As others have said - get a new (to you) pipe! Estates are great values and allow one to get a much higher quality pipe for a good price. A newly acquired pipe always is reason to celebrate for me... I do a lot of celebrating!- badbriar

Hoos... when you were here, humidity was low for us! In summer, it's more like what the OP descried - high 80% range! You start sweating when you walk out to get the mail. Love it here!!! :col:- badbriar
