The Benefit Of Depriving Yourself Of Blends

Move forward and jump right in! Remember that time is limited on freedom to buy what we seek and the secondary market will be brutal. Best stock up now! puffy

A Truly Different Kind Of English?

Like most here, I have a pretty fair cellar built up over years stocked with mostly the blends I prefer. Now, I'm looking to see if there is a really good English, Scottish, Oriental tobacco that is something *Special*. Not similar to most other good blends out there, but something that is...

    Wilke’s Pipe Tobacco Blends

Well, Wilke’s #524 blend is a real winner as a medium English - even a little Penzance like. What other offerings of theirs are worth looking into?

Question: Air Humidity & A Lit Pipe

Humidity does not affect pipe tobacco that much, IMHO. I live in Florida and am used to enjoying a bowl or two in the evenings outdoors. Now, cigars are another issue. Humidity will mess with a nicely aged cigar a lot!

    Latakia Paradox?

    Premier Match Blends

There are a lot of Match blends out there that are designed after both existing and extinct pipe blends. Some are great and some...suck! I'm curious why nobody has developed a Match bend for Unicorns such as Penzance, some McClellands (Frog Morton, etc.) some Germains & SG/GH. Maybe Russ...

Snug Up a Slightly Loose Stem - ?

Thank you, gentlemen (yes, I use that term loosely)! Excellent recommendations. And smoke that briar I will. Much appreciated!

Snug Up a Slightly Loose Stem - ?

EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9) I have a recently acquired Estate Savinelli Poker that is in nice shape, but has a slightly loose mortise to tendon fit. It's not really loose per se, but is not snug. Is there a way to firm up the fit?

    Tin Size Preferences

When a favored pipe blend is available in different tin volumes, which size do you prefer in your cellars? 50g, 100g, 200g, 400/500g, 8oz bags? Personally, I prefer 50g or 1.5 oz size simply so I can leave more in original tins and not have to deal with as much jarring. Seems that unopened tins...

    John Aylesbury's Own Mixture

I ran across this bend and am wondering if it is worth stocking up pretty deep on. Or, is this just a 'few tins on hand' type of pipeweed?

    What A Joke

Agreed here. I'd much rather buy at a higher price from a business supplier than pay obscene prices to some schmuck that bought out a good supply of hard to finds only to resell at a huge profit. SCALPERS SUCK! puffy

    Squadron Leader: Shot Down

Put it in a ziplock baggie. Take aluminum foil and fold it half & half. You are going to make a small 'bowl' with the foil. Take a paper towel and fold, fold, fold to about 1/8" thick and 1" square. Wet the paper towel square, squeeze water out until it no longer drips. Put into foil inside...

    Gawith vs. Gawith

I've been a fan or SG for quite a while and recently have added several GH flake offerings. I'd say, read the reviews on GH Brown Flakes and if they say light Lakeland essence, then not to worry. I never experienced a lakeland flavoring and fid that as long as it is light, it's no worry at...

    Apertif

Dunhill Apertif...a great, bu somewhat ignored smoke. So, what happened with the one? Did Peterson pick up Apertif, or is it extinct?
