***What Are You Smoking, August 2020?***

Enjoying some Dan Tobacco Gordon Pym in a Mastro de Paja Classica bent billiard. The only blend I have with Syrian Latakia. Absolutely elegant!

***What Are You Smoking, August 2020?***

Having some C and D Sunday Picnic in a James Upshall Tilshead Billiard. It's still Sunday for 20 minutes here, so this blend is still appropriate.

    Brussels Sprouts

Love sprouts. One of our default vegetables at home. I like 'em roasted. Tossed in olive oil and sprinkled with a little kosher salt, into a 400-420 F degree oven (temp depending on how long I want them to take). The BEST way to have them, and a sigh-worthy side dish is something I first...

***What Are You Smoking, August 2020?***

Having a bowl of G. L. Pease Cairo in an OMS Cherrywood poker. After first trying this blend a couple of weeks ago, it's quickly becoming a "go-to" for me.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2020?***

Having a bowl of Esoterica Dunbar in a Chris Morgan Blackjack 1/4 bent bulldog. This is my first ever bowl of an Esoterica blend. It won't be the last!

***What Are You Smoking, August 2020?***

It really is! The whole process is a grind. Fortunately, I was able to avoid the one person who is a snarky jackass in my program, and was much happier for it! @dcon @cshubhra Thanks guys! Currently smoking a bowl of Balkan Supreme in a Mastro da Paja Classica rusticated bent billiard.

Having a bowl of McClelland's 2015 VaPer Flake in a Sasieni two-dot 1/4 bent brandy. Celebrating the final approval and submission of my dissertation for archiving, which means I'm DONE with this Doctorate degree!

    Hearth & Home Tobacco Moisture

My tins of Blackhouse, Viprati, and Magnum Opus seem to be a perfect smoking moisture when I open them. I’ve never bought any of their blends in the pop-top tins, but the screw-off tins have retained ideal moisture in my experience.

    Found My Jam Tonight.

Thanks Joe! Much appreciated! Yes, I'm now fighting to reconcile the urge to take a couple of bottles of bourbon and go camping for a week or two (or three!) with the necessity of finding employment. Now if I line up that job somewhat soon I'll be looking at perhaps unprecedented spousal...

***What Are You Smoking, August 2020?***

Having a bowl of C and D Bayou Morning in a Sasieni two-dot 1/4 bent brandy. My first bowl of this blend. Good stuff, with a rather aggressive perique presence.

    Found My Jam Tonight.

Wonderful! I grew up with dogs and cats, so I’ve never been down the pet bird road, although I do appreciate their sociability and intelligence. I’ve really grown to appreciate our (wild) feathered friends while living here in Tucson. There is a rich variety of species, and just hanging in the...

    Found My Jam Tonight.

Thanks @ofafeather! Btw, question regarding your username. Are you an avid birdwatcher, or was the name taken from a song by a certain band from Vermont? Or perhaps it’s C. None of the above?

    Found My Jam Tonight.

Exactly. Most school admins really don’t seem to know what to do. It is more than a little mind boggling to me that we live in the wealthiest country in human existence yet many school districts do not have the money to keep staff and teachers as safe as possible.

    Found My Jam Tonight.

I successfully defended my dissertation last week, and finally got the signatory paperwork today, so I’ll be uploading the dissertation to the Graduate College tonight, and once they approve it, I’m done! Next step is to find a job. In academia, preferably. In the time of Covid. As you...

    Found My Jam Tonight.

Also relevant to my original post: My wife's employer has decided to allow her to work remotely instead of requiring her to take leave. Hurray! Now I can go back to making financially questionable decisions involving PAD and TAD!
