ONE OF THE WORST FLAKES I HAVE EVER TRIED IN MY LIFEHmmmm. Haven’t smoked Waccamaw in years and I have 2 tins from 2007. Will have to pop one.

You never like C&D stuff.ONE OF THE WORST FLAKES I HAVE EVER TRIED IN MY LIFE
I think that’s the point that many people miss. The first smoke may not do it!just a side note Cairo is great but seems to require several smokes to really experience
I tried my second bowl of Cairo today. I thoroughly enjoyed both, and I'm looking forward to getting to know the blend even better. Seems to me that many of the greatest blends can take a little longer to reveal themselves to us.just a side note Cairo is great but seems to require several smokes to really experience
I absolutely agree. I had the same thing with Haddo’s, Ennerdale and a few others.I tried my second bowl of Cairo today. What’s your school/DMA situation like? Also relevant to my original post: My wife's employer has decided to allow her to work remotely instead of requiring her to take leave. Hurray! Now I can go back to making financially questionable decisions involving PAD and TAD!
I’m so glad that they were reasonable and your wife can work from home. I won’t mention details of our district. Let’s just say that everything is up in the air and the powers that be aren’t exactly on the same page as the teachers/staff.Also relevant to my original post: My wife's employer has decided to allow her to work remotely instead of requiring her to take leave. I successfully defended my dissertation last week, and finally got the signatory paperwork today, so I’ll be uploading the dissertation to the Graduate College tonight, and once they approve it, I’m done! What’s your school/DMA situation like?
Exactly. Most school admins really don’t seem to know what to do. It is more than a little mind boggling to me that we live in the wealthiest country in human existence yet many school districts do not have the money to keep staff and teachers as safe as possible.I’m so glad that they were reasonable and your wife can work from home. That’s so awesome! Congratulations Dr. Musicman! Best of luck finding a post. Glad you have some work now.I successfully defended my dissertation last week, and finally got the signatory paperwork today, so I’ll be uploading the dissertation to the Graduate College tonight, and once they approve it, I’m done!
Next step is to find a job. In academia, preferably. In the time of Covid. As you can imagine, the market is totally screwed up right now. But I still have a part-time position, so it’s not all bad.
Thanks @ofafeather! Btw, question regarding your username. Are you an avid birdwatcher, or was the name taken from a song by a certain band from Vermont? Or perhaps it’s C. None of the above? That’s so awesome! Congratulations Dr. Musicman! Best of luck finding a post. Glad you have some work now.

Wonderful! I grew up with dogs and cats, so I’ve never been down the pet bird road, although I do appreciate their sociability and intelligence. I’ve really grown to appreciate our (wild) feathered friends while living here in Tucson. There is a rich variety of species, and just hanging in the backyard can feel like living in an aviary!Lol, my wife and I are bird lovers. She grew up with birds and we currently have 6all rescues.
it really does. The first couple bowls tasted like really good cigarettes to me. Good and really enjoyable but kind of flat. For some reason now when I smoke a bowl of it I taste all kinds of things and I'am not paying more attention and my smoking technique has not improved in any noticeable way. It's almost like something had to get tuned in, because it's pretty dramatic how different it is. And if it's because it's been in a jar for a few months then some blends age amazingly and amazingly quickly.I tried my second bowl of Cairo today. I thoroughly enjoyed both, and I'm looking forward to getting to know the blend even better. Seems to me that many of the greatest blends can take a little longer to reveal themselves to us.
so everything is going pretty normal all things considered then?I’m so glad that they were reasonable and your wife can work from home. I won’t mention details of our district. it's amazing how much is expected out of educators and how little real respect they're given to do their job, or even more so the importance of their job. Good teachers really can change lives and so can bad ones too. I always imagine if our culture treated doctors the same ways. Expected them to buy the gear they need to work and then told them not to complain because they should just be happy to be doing something important (doesn't matter if their complaint is not about their own personal life but how well they can treat their patients.Exactly. Congrats, Doc! That's quite a milestone. I was near catatonic for weeks after my defense. All I could do was drink beer and guerilla fish the Detroit River. I already had a job lined up, though, so I was super lucky.I successfully defended my dissertation last week,
