Just tried my first pinch of a Hearth & Home tin, I'm finding WhiteKnight to be a fantastic blend with lots of mesquite smokey notes. Enjoyed in my newly acquired '91 KOBE Smooth Billiard Japanese Estate along with a dram of 1991 Cognac as a late birthday treat since the pipe was delayed.

You really make me want to get a meerschaum some day! Some of the colors/patina on yours are the best I’ve ever seen! I want to season one to the point it gets that really dark color that some of yours have.... I imagine that would take a lifetime though, it would be very satisfying to watch the colors develop over time. I’ve had a total of 3 meers in my life but all of them had a really shitty draw.
Going by the patina I reckon this one's had more than a single lifetime's smoking looking as it does almost like polished tiger's eye.
The mouthpiece is unsurprisingly not original to the pipe:-

I am an infrequent smoker (maybe 2 bowls per week) but am on a little R&R, so what the hell! First time I’ve smoked in the morning while drinking coffee. It never really appealed to me before. But now I get it!

Russ’ Pirates cove in Gasparini meerschaum lined and 9mm charcoal filter. Very pleasant.
