    Topping Up Your Bowl

Tried it once but it felt awkward to think that both the upper and lower part of the embers are burning tobacco in opposite directions.

How Many Different Blends Have You Tried?

EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title - Bob How many different blends have you tried so far? When I decided to smoke a pipe my goal was to try as many different tobaccos as possible and eventually reorder those that are something special. Counting all together gets me to the number 122, including...

    Some Things Never Change

When the pipe smoking world got me I thought a hundred bucks was a lot for a piece of wood to burn leaf and many folks who don't smoke pipes still think so. PIPE LOVERS. So it's love that sets the prices in the sky. :D

Never Put Your Finger in the Bowl...

I often tamp with fingers too and usually it's ok, as long as there's some ashes. Sometimes it's painful, touching a red-hot embers burns really badly, that's why it's not recommended. I guess. :D

Better (or Worse) Than Expected Blends.

MacBaren's Virginia No. 1. Better than expected regarding the tounge bite everybody is talking about. It doesn't bite at all, many Virginias I've tried bite much more. Love the flavouring but not sure if the tobacco itself is premium, probably not, but very close.

    First Penzance Smoke

Haven't tried it yet, if I get a chance I'm going to buy a tin. I'm glad sellers limited the quantity one can purchase. While somebody wants to get a modest 2oz others would take all the stash available. ? Presumably the closest blend I've tried is C&D Star of the East Flake.

Rattray's Stirling Flake in a Morgan's Stubby Pot. Good, but I'm wondering what is that medicinal flavour I'm getting.

How Often To Change Charcoal Filter

I change them every time. I wouldn't care to use the same one for the same blend if it wasn't too wet or have a nasty smell. Ordering the biggest packing can save some bucks.

***What Are You Smoking?*** (November, 2019)

MacBaren's Virginia No. 1 in a Vauen N253. Tasty, but I think it's the flavouring, not tobacco itself.
