Smoking Davidoff Flake Medallions in a MM Legend, drinking some black coffee - weather is atrocious and I am not leaving the house for days if I can help it. ...breaking in a new Baracinni after breakfast!

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

Ahhh this thread always makes my mouth water haha - this month has been tobacco-tastic, not gonna lie: 2 x 3.5 oz Mac Baren Plumcake ...once I realized I was absolutely crazy for this blend I purchased... 1 x 16 oz Mac Baren Plumcake as well as 4 x 1.5 oz Drexel VIII pouches Both the Drexel...

Filling popped out - is this a problem?

Lee pipes certainly are lovely - love my Dr. Grabows, too.

Filling popped out - is this a problem?

Totally agree - it's a natural product, I appreciate the 'flaws' ...tho I agree, I would feel different if this was a $125 pipe rather than a $25 pipe (that also came with a pouch of decent tobacco haha) puffy

Filling popped out - is this a problem?

Awesome, thanks for the heads up ...I am a 'if it ain't broke...' type, but wasn't sure if it was on it's way to broke or not hehe :) -cheers!

Filling popped out - is this a problem?

This value-priced pipe came with a pack of Amphora Kentucky blend a couple years back, it has been a great smoker so far ...I never minded the fills at all, but noticed one has popped out. Is this something I should have repaired or should be able to do myself? My initial google investigation...

    Germain/Esoterica- No Warning Labels

The warning labels seemed to be so effective and well-received, surprised they are gone... (note dripping sarcasm)

    Where Do You Usually Smoke?

I smoke wherever around the house, but I usually sit by/crack a window - I really love the way smoke smells mixed with fresh air, too. Commuter bowls in the car are a must - I have a 'bowl of flake'-long commute (each way) 3x a week, keeps me sane!

Looking for other Tangy / Tart / Sour / Vinegar tasting tobacco.

Have to chime in with a mention of Sutliff 515 RC-1 as @SBC mentioned -- seems to be a love it or hate it blend, definitely has a vinegar note -- in my opinion, if properly dried, the stuff is amazing; very lemony yet bready, I call the flavor 'toast with lemon jam' in my head...definitely needs...

What Are You Listening To? - December 2022

I came here to post this same thing lol ...there are a bunch of K-Mart tapes you can listen to, like an audio time capsule!

    smoker's pride?

I smoke the blue bag vanilla stuff, sometimes frequently, because I like it for what it is. The black cavendish is downright decent, too. It's like dessert - a fine confection from the bakery is a true delight, but sometimes I'm gonna eat a Little Debbie. I wouldn't expect magic, but I think...

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

Between yesterday and today: multiple bowls of Mac Baren Plumcake (I am full on crazy about this stuff), Amphora Virginia, Mac Baren HH Pure Virginia, Drexel VIII, and PS Luxury Navy Flake - living deep inside of Flavor Country - cheers folks!!

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

Sutliff 515 RC-1 in a Rattray's White Goddess meer - previously today: Mac Baren Plumcake and Drexel VII - a fine day of pipe smoking ...1 hr in standstill traffic earlier, that Plumcake really came through - cheers folks!

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

Smoking some Drexel VIII in a Dr. Grabow, drinking an IPA - this Drexel was an impulse buy, it's freakin' good...came super dry, no complaints; I can tell it's gonna burn down to just about nothin'. Cheers!

    Light Latakia Blends?

Ahh yes, I have quite the laundry list going now! I will make sure to chime in with some thoughts as I acquire new blends. I feel like this has been a part of my pipe smoking puzzle that has been missing ...I enjoy a wide spectrum of blends in other families/genres but never hit my stride with...

    I'm Getting Corncob Gurgle

Pipe cleaners are your very good friend...I run one through my pipe every five minutes or so, after the first 10 minutes of smoking ...keeps the flavor high and the gurgle at bay... cheers!

Chinese Made Briars - Warning Will Robinson!

I have one pipe from them, a simple prince shape...definitely a solid, middle of the road pipe, especially for under $20 delivered to my front door.

What is the Sweetest Tasting Tobacco?

I can vouch for this one ...it's sweet as it comes - snaps, crackles n pops in the bowl, yet burns oddly well... I have a half pound of this blend and don't know if I'll smoke half of it in 10 years, it's good though!

***What Are You Smoking, November 2022?***

I would be more annoyed with today's traffic if it hadn't allowed for some extra pipe smoking time - finished off last night's bowl of Mac Baren Golden Extra in a MM Legend and smoked some C&D Blue Ridge as well - cheers folks!
