Don't think so, they are usually melted in so even if the white wears off the imprint is still there. I have seen some other shapes without the "P" stamp though.- recoilrob

Th is an old Peterson Donegal Rocky 80S from my collection. The sterling band is hallmarked but no "P" on the stem which looks original. Were they sold without stamped stems?- recoilrob

I made up a spreadsheet of some of my tins and will be sending it to everyone that has purchased tins from me on eBay in the past 6 months, we'll see how that does.- recoilrob

eBay just pulled all 15 of my listings for sealed tins...
I called in and was told they do it in batches, they pulled 400 listings today. Yet there are still 173 sealed tins listed for sale, some are actually bags of Camel cigarette tobacco. Does Red Cake Improve With Age?
I have a good amount of Red Cake that I got it from a local shop that was clearing out old stock 1996, it was buried in the back of the cigar humidor room in a bulk bag from McClellands. What do I have here, is this an "Early Transition Barling"
It has the Script Barling with the block Made in England, a 4 digit shape (5959) but also has a size (EXEL) and the TVF, as well as the cross on the stem. thanks, Rob- recoilrob

My feelings also, but once you own it it's yours to do with what you please. I felt it had a lot going for it as a collectible, pre-trans, a bent, a straight grain, and unsmoked in the box! Couldn't ruin that, as I said I have plenty of others to smoke rather than breaking in another..... -

Here are the inside lid label and the end label, 135 years +1912 = 1947? Didn't realize they changed the label annually. Eventually it will be sold, unsmoked, but not right now. -

No, nothing on the stem except the Barling's cross. It is unsmoked, I got it about 20 years ago In NYS.
