    Breakthrough Blends

I don't know about breakthrough but last week I mixed equal parts Smyrna and Latakia. To me the total was greater than the sum of the parts (isn't that how the saying goes?)

    My Orient Express

Try some D&R Ramback, you can get them by the oz Ramback Regular is rich in wonderful, fragrant Izmir, one of the best known Turkish tobaccos for a slightly sweet and exotic flavor Ramback Gold utilizes the same flavorful Izmir as Ramback Regular but adds a bright flue-cured leaf for a...

    Best Budget English

You should try Count Pulaski by Sutliff. It's listed as an aro, but I don't taste it. To me it's a rich tasting blend that has a little bit of sweetness to it.

Most Bready or Hay-Like Full Virginias?

Cornell & Diehl: Red Virginia Cavendish "Made in house from Cornell & Diehl's Old Belt red Virginias and cut in the Cavendish manner, Red Virginia Cavendish makes for a sweet smoke and boasts flavors similar to baked bread fresh from the oven." I have never tried it, so I can't comment on it.

    A Good Oriental Forward Blend?

I'll second D&R Ramback Balkan as well as C&D Star of the East Gold. SOTEG does have latakia in it, but very little. P&C has blending tobacco, you could get some Smyrna, Izmir and or Turkish ribbon.

    Similar to Skiff? (sold out)

It's been a while since I've had Skiff, but you might want to look into Star of the East Gold or Super Balkan. Both by C&D and available in bulk. they are both oriental forward and light on the latakia. Also you might like Caravan by G.L.Pease.

    Tobacco Experiments: Stoved Virginia

I wonder if you use a sugar casing on the latakia, would it be anything like the latakia that McClelland used?
