    Oriental-Forward English/Balkan Recommendations

A really good and unique Balkan ie D&R Ramback Balkan. There is no latakia in it so you really taste the orientals. I enjoy it "as is" but sometimes I'll add some latakia to it, it's good both ways.

    Hate-Love Relationships with Blends?

For me it's Billy Budd. Love the flavor but can't take the high nic content. Is there a blend that tastes similar but without the nic hit of BB?

    Stoved Virginia

I recently discovered McC 5110 Dark Full English and love it. Now that McC is gone for good, does anyone know where to get some stoved virginias so I can blend my own 5110? I already have the lat and orientals and I don't know how it would be with black cavendish.

    Why Don't You Smoke Meerschaums?

jpmcwjr, in the bottom pic the dots (or grapes) are darker. Also I have several meers and that's what I smoke exclusively, but then again I only smoke 1-3 bowls a week. To me they smoke sweeter and gives me a more balanced smoke (I smoke a lot of balkan blends) where the lat and orientals can...

    MacB's burley london blend

I just got back from a local cigarette store where I found (and purchased) a tin of Burley London Blend. I'm a balkan junkie who loves latakia and oriental tobaccos. I'm not sure if I want to open it and try it or pass it along to someone who would really enjoy it. The date on the tin is Oct...

    Blending Black Cavendish

For awhile, P&C was selling an unflavored black cavendish made by Lane, it was called toasted black cavendish. The description stated it was their BCA without the topping or flavoring. Was thinking about getting some, then it disappeared. Russ has some unflavored black cavendish in the blending...

Rehydrating Daugthers & Ryan 1lb Bags?

Someone once said "Smoke it (the tobacco) drier than you think you should" or something like that. I think it was Greg Pease or maybe Russ, definitely someone who knows pipe tobacco.
