I tastes kinda like updog...You should try Count Pulaski by Sutliff. It's listed as an aro, but I don't taste it. To me it's a rich tasting blend that has a little bit of sweetness to it.
I'll bite.... what's updog?....I tastes kinda like updog...
Absolute agreement on Stratfordshire. My favorite latakia blend. Red Odessa is also great if you want some perique in it.C&D Stratfordshire is damn good. Arango Balkan Supreme is another. Both are available as bulk and are a great value.
This one isn’t too bad really and cheap.View attachment 32676
Sutliff Blend No. 5 is a budget blend I like it. SPC has it for $7.95 a tin.

Not shit man. What up w/ u?I'll bite.... what's updog?....
Looks like this one is out of stock. P & C has one like this too, Best of the Rest English. I may hazzard a try on that one too, at 16 bucks a pound.
I do wonder though, would these blends basically taste the same if you ordered them twice?.. I guess you'd have to risk the 32 bucks to find out. It's still not too much to gamble.
BOTR has got to be a blend with a recipe, because I don't see how a business that sells by the ounce has enough leftovers/sweepings to make up multiple 1 lb bags to sell. Any leftover would have to be less than an ounce and they'll need lots of them to make up a bunch of bags.I had great luck with my pound of BOTR English. Best value I've ever gotten in an English blend. It didn't seem cheap or like scraps or floor sweepings either, just a great medium English/Balkan.

BSOSM/759 Matches are fantastic. I'd recommend 759 since you like dark fired and a little more nicotine.
Balkan Supreme is probably the best of the budget blends. As good as anything in a tin. Plenty of oriental presence and the interplay of latakia, Cavendish, and Samsun gives a very full flavored, cigarish smoke that really sticks to the inside of your mouth, beard, face, clothes, room, and everything else it comes in contact with. I think it's fair to say Supreme gives the most Dunhill/Germain's/Sobranie -esque experience of any bulk English. Not exactly the same, but way up in the ballpark.

It’s the tobacco co that puts it together not P&C from what I thought? Also it says that every bag is slightly different.BOTR has got to be a blend with a recipe, because I don't see how a business that sells by the ounce has enough leftovers/sweepings to make up multiple 1 lb bags to sell. That’s what’s always kept me from trying it. If that’s not the truth, then it’s an awful advertisement. ?It’s the tobacco co that puts it together not P&C from what I thought? Also it says that every bag is slightly different.
