Interesting Completed eBay Auctions - American Pipes

@Doctor Chopper Oh man. That's so true. I see something I want to buy at what seems a really good price, until checkout time. In some cases the shipping is equal to the cost of the item. In some, granted rarer cases, the shipping is more than the cost of the actual item!

    Summer evening moments

I'm an outdoor pipe smoker. And especially so during the evening time, when I get back home after work, best part of the day. When I sit back in my smoking chair and fire up a bowl, I get that immense feeling of relaxation. puffy

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

@AroEnglish I'm not too impressed with the tool chatter on the shoulder of that stem either. :(

    Quintessential Shapes

I've just this minute bought an estate 309. I had been eying up the Peterson POTY 2021, which I had missed out on, and aren't available due to limited release numbers.

    In Search Of Pipe Dreams

I enjoyed the book, took it away off-shore last month. He sure does like the Danish pipes. However, he does include many top artisans from around the world too. There's other chapters in the book, where he writes about cleaning/repairing pipes and of course modifying the drilling of pipes, as...

As for Petersons, again, only my opinion, I believe the 315 and the 4AB exemplifies the brand.

    Quintessential Shapes

IMHO, a billiard, either bent or straight would define Dunhill's. Think Dunhill's LC, 120, 56, for the bents and LB, LBS, 196 for the straights.

    Windy Smoking

This is important. I'm always wary about smoking in the wind, for fear of this happening. Last weekend we experienced a tropical storm for three days. The rain was coming in horizontally, specifically in my usual smoking area. I told my sig' other that I'm going to have to smoke in the scullery...

    Someone's Optimistic

Yeah, that's more like it. The guy selling/sold it has the stem fitted upside down. Ugly as F!
