    Sharing the Love?

After commenting in this thread yesterday, I have been thinking more about what KCGhost said... "Whenever you give a pipe away you can figure at a high probability the person will not smoke it. If he has to buy the pipe he will at least stick with it through a few smokes."

    Sharing the Love?

I've also done the same. Introduced maybe 4 or 5 guys & a gal, too. Only one of them continues to smoke his MM cob I gave him. As a matter of fact, a couple of other guys have recently expressed an interest in pipe smoking, both of whom I let try my pipe, on separate occasions. Both appeared to...

    Dunhill: Real or Fake?

Just before F/T, which indicates a fish tail stem? I thought that I noticed a stamp there, maybe just the deeper blast. Otherwise 2 “S” inside a circle indicates a group 2, sand blast. As others have pointed out. Enjoy your great find!

    Small is Beautiful ?

My collection is predominantly larger pipes. I only have two small pipes one of which is a Tom Eltang Devil Anse. Nice little pipe, for about a 40 minute smoke. Only ever smoked Three Nuns in it, BTW. My other smaller pipe is a Dunhill Group 4, from the 30's, way smaller than other Gp4's in my...

    Rim Charring

I wet the rim with spit and then rub it over a couple pieces of kitchen towel, laid out over a flat surface. Gently rubbing with very little pressure, then adding more as I feel less resistance from the paper towel.

Interesting Completed eBay Auctions - American Pipes

It soon dulls down. As I said, they're not as shiny in hand, IMHO.

Interesting Completed eBay Auctions - American Pipes

Would agree with Jesse here. I've bought several pipes from Todd and when in hand they aren't as "shiny" as how they appear in his photographs. Besides, I don't understand the criticism Todd receives over his shiny pipes, would y'all prefer them to look dull and flat? His stem work is fantastic...
