I don't see anything that suggests that the pipe is not legit. Congrats. The wall thickness isn't unusual for a small Dunhill. The dot size isn't unusual for a small sized Dunhill. The "oval" appearance is lens distortion from a wide angle lens.

Why do you suspect that it's a fake? Because you paid so little? So it makes more sense that someone wasted lifespan at a penny an hour to turn out a fake Dunnie?

Sometimes you get lucky. Enjoy it. Odds are, life will even that out.

Yes exactly because I paid so little for it, I assumed it could be fake. But what you say also makes sense, the effort any would-be fraudster would have to put in to make a fake pipe doesn't seem like it would yield a good refurn for them. That's not to mention the expertise they would have to have.

Looks like a way over reamed 1963 group 2 billiard. I wonder if this pipe was meerschaum lined at one time.
One thing I can say with some certainty, is that this pipe has never been smoked, nor likely reamed for that matter. I have had estate, and new pipes, this is defo the latter.
