I’ve read several threads, watched videos, and experienced two bowls of Navy Flake, which I enjoyed to the point of placing another order. I’ve smoked 4 more bowls in the last two days (two fold and stuffed, and two rubbed). They tasted pretty bland, one was too dry and smoked hot, the others...- Relax62

Great question… I would love to know that myself! I have a lot invested in aros (most everything you can think of) and they’re just sitting nicely stored in jar’s waiting for me to learn to like them, sell/trade/trash them. Thanks for the feedback! So they are considered an aro? I’ve had a hard time with aro’s burning hot and no taste, except an ashy taste and aftertaste. Having said that, I’ve found a couple that I enjoy on occasion.- Relax62

I love Nightcap, EMP, and recently bought some PS 306 English Oriental Supreme that is quite good… also just ordered some Quiet Nights. Good advice! I’m not one to cut corners, I want to learn the right way and fully enjoy all of my pipes. I just don’t understand… I feel like I’m smoking very slowly (almost to the point of it going out), and still gets hot, tongue bite, and taste like ask. This occurs with Virginia forward...- Relax62

Thank you! I feel like I’m really taking it slow when smoking… I barely keep the embers going and don’t produce a lot of smoke. I’ll keep at it because I really enjoy the ones that I can finally taste! Plus the whole experience is extremely satisfying and relaxing!- Relax62

I’m planning to spend between $75-100. The airflow of my Nording Freehand is superior to any other pipe I own, and smokes cool and consistent, except Virginia forward blends.
