Removed the fireplace, mantle, drywall, false chimney, etc. that suffered water damage due to the worthless piece of shit roofer I used to replace my old roof.

Installed a new sheet of drywall as I will be using a new vent-free gas fireplace box and gas logs and building a new hearth, using some of the new 2x4 ft stone veneer sheets.

made a Christmas cake (sorry for mentioning the "c" word so early on), took a stroll in the mild autumn sunshine with my Petersons 220X pipe in my mouth, and just generally had a chilled Sunday....

new shingles were put in place where the chimney was removed, re-installed the insulation on the exterior wall, drove down to Charlotte and bought a new vent free fireplace/gas logs unit that I found on Craigslist, ravaged the wife and experienced her "magical hands" :worship:

I washed the pick-up, laid around the house about all day. Smoked a bowl of Altadis Blue Note, a bowl of Captain Black White and a bowl of Dunhill Nightcap.

re-routed the gas line in the wall to accomodate the new ventless fireplace box, went to the lumber store to get some Hardy board siding to replace the cardboard shit that they put on my house. Supper was stuffed Salmon at the "Cook House", pecan pie for dessert, Penzance for post dessert.

I washed the boat yesterday and I waxed the boat today. Wax on.. wax off... I should be some kind of karate expert by now. My shoulders ache!

Drove to a job site 3 hours away, saw 74 Sherriff and HP cars before I saw the Obama motorcade....what a waste.
trimmed off nails, cut and installed new OSB board on exterior wall, ripped out rotten 2x12's from base of chimney, tarped things up right before the rain started. Ate stuffed Salmon ....again for supper w/ Pecan Pie for dessert.

Well, not really today, but YESTERDAY (there is not "what did you do yesterday" thread so please accept my apologies) I, along with my wife and her friends, attended a gathering at the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures. The theme was to dress up as a dead Texan of your choosing and play the part. We were lazy so we just got our faces painted. The other lady in the picture is my wife's gym buddy and she dressed up as Bonnie; there was no Clyde just Bonnie. And we ate drank and danced the night away. Well, they danced I ate and drank. 8)

Great picture spartan. I cut more soffit and facia boards on the back of the house where I removed the false chimney, primed them and got the facia board on and will put the soffit board on tomorrow. There isn't a square board on the whole house, everything is cocked one way or another
Cut down some mdf boards to make the 140 inch home theatre screen border for my daughters house today, now will have to rip velvet and wrap the boards.
Got a 10 foot section of new gutter and prepped it for installation on the back too.
Installed labels on the tall Craftsman tool box in the garage so that I don't have to hunt for tools.

Went and picked up 27 boxes of Laminate Flooring at Lumber Liquidators and unloaded it back home in the great room. Installed the soffit board and crown moulding strip to close in the area where I removed the fake chimney. Gotta get a little warmer before I can paint it though.

Yesterday I finished installing a wiring system for my boat so today I can hook up lights for nighttime fishing and general cruising. I had put the wiring in split plastic conduit 1/2" and what was exposed to passengers and accessories got fiberglass coated. This process was much more complicated than I had anticipated. LOL

Anyways.. today I can rig up the navigation lights and outlets for plugging in flood lights, and floating lights.
