In my humble opinion, a Robusto worthy of consideration, this is part of a limited 2019 release "5 Y.O 2014", the youngest often tend to be bitter on the finish when stressed. Creamy smoke, aromas in the Cuban tradition, wood, dried fruit, unobtrusive earth with a sweet background. Continuing, hints of bread crust and leather. Summing up rustic aromas.
Thanks to your comment, I tried Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 1 (2017), it was an awesome smoke.

I'm going to have to track one of those down. I don't care for the vitolas, but I've heard the blend is a smash. I went through cabs and cabs of those when they first came out.

Found this guy hiding out in a humidor. To the flame!

A great cigar, crescendo intensity and creamy smoke. Packaging 898 can be said to have started with Ramon Allones.

Unfortunately, I didn't find this anywhere near as good as some late 90s/early 00s RA 898 I've had. Those were exemplary sticks. Somewhere around 2010 or so, the Ramon Allones blend changed. Gone are the overt honey and musky notes and now it's the typical raisin toast profile common to contemporary Specially Selected and Small Club Coronas. Damned shame, but I know tobacco strains die out over time. Still, this was somewhat better and had more depth than your typical Specially Selected.
