I had a macanudo that was maduro earlier it was quite pleasant though the last third the experience tapered. I’m going to try to stick to pipe smoking for a while and let the rest of the humidor contents age some.

Punch After Dinner Maduro. Hennessy VS. (the beginner stuff). This blend is fun. It’s got a cool, floral, tea, herbal thing to it. Not much if any pepper heat.

Por Larranaga Picadores, a Hermoso #4 (48) produced exclusively for the "Casa dell'Habano". Cigar that does not shine for quality and aromatic finesse, but the low cost was a nice attraction. Beginning with sweet notes of honey and toasted hazelnuts, the smoke (always creamy) towards the middle turns into aromas of spices and cocoa beans taking an extra point of strength. Excellent draft, combustion with some stumbles, all in all pleasant. Exemplary of 2014.
