Shitt's Creek is great. It gets a lot more intelligent without dropping the silliness. It's actually kind of mind blowing how naturally yet severely that show grows. I say stick with it. And I don't think there is any curb connection.
It doesn't have to be the same people, but it is obviously the same structure, down to similar musical interludes. I've spent a long time studying the analytics of humor, and it uses the exact same structure. Curb is a little more adult based because it is HBO, and Shitss is Canadian, but the hammer drops the exact same way in every episode. You can really see the formula, because they just use one over and over. My wife gets pissed because after two lines into a scene, I tell her what the punchline at the end of the scene is going to be.
She's is on season 4, do I still have to keep paying attention? Will it get better? I tend to just read a book while she gets through this series.
Intelligent? yeh, I am learning so much...
It challenges me.
Really though, I'm glad you like it. That makes you a part of the majority, because it has been a social media buzz for months now.
