The other night my wife and I watched my two favorite Christmas movies back to back: White Christmas and Die Hard.

This one was mentioned on a TCM special on Christmas movies. We hadn't seen this one before, from 1940 with Fred McMurray and Barbara Stanwick. Not exactly a traditional Christmas movie. 3 of 5.
Finished season 10 of Shameless (U.S. version) last night. I'll rate it 2.5/5.
I really enjoyed Shameless the first 6-7 seasons, but the last few season were just okay. I almost didn't finish season 10, but I felt that I had too much time already invested in the series...I had to finish it.

I was disappointed, 3/5 stars. Unbelievable action (no, really, unbelievable). Storyline too disjointed, but I powered thru, decent ending.
You got further along than I did. I think it was four seasons for me. Started off 5/5, after I tired of same old, same old, 2/5.
We started the American Playboy: The Hugh Heffner Story last night. It’s actually really good. It is the era and business environment that inspired the real Mad Men. It’s interesting that a married man established the culture for modern bachelor. Plus, he even talks about working the pipe into his style.
5/5 stars, especially for this group of guys. Plus, it’s really not as raunchy as you’d think. Playboy was never just about nudity, it was about men’s lifestyle. If you want raunchy and dirty, go watch that Larry Flint movie. Playboy was all about great articles, with a dash of boobies for spice.
