Ronald Colman double feature I recorded.

Random Harvest - a favorite and Greer Garson is great. 5/5*

Raffles - not really a favorite but okay. I watch because Kay Francis is in it! 4/5*

Will be recording her soon in In Name Only - come for Grant and Lombard but stay for one of Kay Francis’ best roles. 5/5*

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. The original from 1974 not the remake.

I've seen it a few times before but it's free to watch on FreeVee and I had a few hours to kill. Great movie about a group of men who take control of a New York City subway train and demand a ransom for the safe release of the passengers. The cast includes Walter Matthau, Robert Shaw, Jerry Stiller and Doris Roberts.

The 1970's was such a great decade for movies. Definitely worth a watch if you've never seen it before, and especially since it's free👍.

The above was copy-pasted from the title. Didn't mean to be so bold. But adding your own rating makes the forum a bit more useful. Thank you. at 3:03:54 PM PT on Sunday, August 20, 2023

Sorry, old mate, I forgot🤦🏻‍♂️. I normally do remember to add a rating but occasionally it slips my mind and because of the 10 minute edit window I can't go back and add it to my post.

I'd give The Taking of Pelham One Two three a rating of 4.5/5

Rewatched the Linklater film of A Scanner Darkly...for the 4th or 5th time, over a period of many years.

Great movie with an all-star cast...Downey and Harrelson are particularly good in it, and fun to watch (a number of comedic elements to it). I have enjoyed it more each time I see it...especially as the world we're living in becomes progressively more criminally insane.

Definitely one of the best of the many adaptations of PKD stories, and the only one from one of his full length novels (which is a shame, and something I've never understood...Hollywood has made so many movies from his short stories, and yet a number of his novels could potentially be fantastic movies if they were done as well as this one).

Definitely 5/5 for me.

I haven't watched this one yet, thank you for putting it on my radar 👍

5/5 on Cocaine Bear - it was hilariously stupid. I haven't laughed out loud so often at a movie in a long time
What a swan song for Ray Liotta.

The only movie I have downloaded on my phone. Love the silliness of it!

Love the DVR!
5/5 - Life Below Zero, Next Generation

5/5- Life Below Zero (original series)

4/5 - Alone - Just finish the most recent season, it was not as good as some of the previous seasons.

Alone - Australia- The new series of people surviving alone in Western Tasmania. I am not sure how how it will be as there are only two episodes released so far. It's interesting but I think it's going to struggle to get 4/5 rating from me. I think it's only 5 days into the the contest and already three of the 10 contestants have tapped out.

5/5 - UFA (United Fighting Alliance)
A series of various martial arts matches from MMA to bare knuckle boxing. I haven't followed this before but recently my grandson turned pro in the MMA so that kind of peaked my interest in different fighting styles. I must say I have enjoyed the UFA so far.

Thanks to the DVR I'm able send it to record and watch these in my opinions along with several historical specials.

Bad sci-fi monster movie, all-star cast (pretty much) with a 11 or 12 yr old Paul Walker. 3/5 if you like these B movies it's not too bad, seems most of it was left on the editing room floor but as they say "now isn't the time for answers" LOL
