Very happy for the return of Mrs Maisel. But 3 eps in and I’m already pondering if this is one season too many ??
Yea there is much I don’t like, but Tony Shalhoub makes it worth the watch! I heard they announced next season is the last and it looks like this one is only six episodes, so I will stick it out. See what it rates after three more episodes

Just watched this one yesterday........ I liked it a lot, it's from 2014 but I'd never seen or heard of it before. It's on Netflix now. Light-hearted, clean, and funny. Bill Murray get's better with age IMO............ 5/5

Just started watching Amazon's Reacher series. So far, meh. Very formulaic and the get in trouble then out off trouble schtick is wearing thin. Better than Cruise but only slightly so....2.5/5. Starting 1883 tomorrow.

On HBO right now, and I have been a Wes Anderson fan for a while, and this new one doesn't disappoint. It is disjointed at times and a little hard to follow, but it is almost entirely visual, so much so, that it make may your head hurt. The repetitive trademark movements on screen, the scenes set seemingly to explore a new camera movement, more so that just adding to the story.
If you know Wes Anderson for his Plique à jour stories, then this one will not disappoint, but if your a plebian to movies, then it may just be a big jumble of nonsense to you. YMMV

I give it a 5/5 for myself, but for the common man that knows nothing about art and movies, then you may be better satisfied with a 3/5.
Lots of pipesmoking, as all of the new movies outside of ones boringly set in the 21st century, Phhhht.
The French Dispatch (2021) - IMDb

I've seen previews...it looks good. I really enjoyed The Grand Budapest Hotel, I hope The French Dispatch is as good. It's on my watch list.
I think I enjoyed Budapest Hotel a little more for the story than this one, as it is an abstract look at an American newspaper in France, very abstract. But, this one still doesn't fail to entertain, just not in a traditional story sense.

New seasons of Snowfall (FX) and Killing Eve (AMC) started.
Snowfall was was excellent, as usual. (5/5)

Killing Eve - terrific 1st episode tonight (I think this is the last season).
A killer soundtrack as well. (5/5)

From their website:
Mark leads a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives. When a mysterious colleague appears outside of work, it begins a journey to discover the truth about their jobs.
I really like any futuristic setting** where what's portrayed does not rely on CGI, fantasy or magic. This fills the bill, as it is a fascinating concept. First three eps 4.8/5. Sadly, not fully bingeable right now as the next ep won't drop till Friday.

Joe Bob says check it out!

** The setting is contemporary, perhaps late 90's given the computer monitors, but the concept feels futuristic to me.

Last night we watched Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders (2018) on Amazon Prime. Three 1 hour episodes. I rate it 3/5.

In 1933, retired detective Hercule Poirot is targeted by a taunting killer who sends letters signed "ABC", which Poirot must decode in order to discover the identity of the murderer.
