Perfect for autumn play. Our tee boxes around here get hard as a rock soon after the first frost. Just need a tiny mallet for the tap in. My friends and I often joke about the need for metal tees. I had no idea they already exist.Worse, I think they’d bend over and over if you’re not very accurate. As a golf tee, I don’t think they’ll catch on. I wish they’d rebrand as a tamper company.
A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 1985 MacBaren Scottish Mixture in a 2015 Basil Meadows Bing Crosby Merchant Service replica with a smooth straight thin shank, aluminum band and black ebonite stem.
This evening smoking some OJK in a Savenelli 673 Roma. Listening to Pipe & Tamper podcast. Black tea on the side.
Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and my last smoke of the day is SWRA in a straight black sandblast undated Savinelli Hercules 115EX pot with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Got in a few more lbs of D&R tobacco. One is new to me, Ramback Balkan, which I've smoked on two full moon lunts in today's best weather. The first was in a MM Diplomat and the second in a group 3 Grabow straight billiard.
I put a handful of this blend from the bag to my sterlite covered salad bowl tobacco mixing bowl and examined the variety of leaf within. I found that it could do with additional mixing, not uncommon in bagged blends. I also found one big piece of leaf that unfurled like a bat's wing and felt like soft leather. I broke it up and mixed it in.
2 bowls in...this blend is smooth, burns cool, has interesting flavors and moderate nicotine. I would buy it again.

I packed my Stanwell 124 Lovat with Escudo but was a bit concerned it was too tight a pack so I repacked and transferred some to my Stanwell 172 Lightweight acorn. Paired with some 12 year old Auchentoshan it is a delicious smoke.
