Finished that job, and am smoking aged Rattrays Hal O’ The Wynd in a straight smooth brown pre-WWII (Comoy’s) Corinthian De-Luxe 126 pot made for Sutliff in San Francisco with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Watching the Yankees-Angels game that I've been listening to while I worked. The orange fella is by my side. Long Tail is snozzin' on my feet.

Tonight I’m kicking into gear with some PS LNF from 1997 (generously given to me as a sample) in the Savinelli Roma; my first taste of this blend and I’m liking it. How fated am I to be disappointed by this stuff fresh? I am really blown away by how pronounced the Perique gets when I push it, thought this stuff was supposed to soften with age! I do love being able to control it’s volume with cadence. Tasty stuff.

Maybe, but it isn’t bad fresh and starts getting better within a relatively short while.

Smoking some Frenchy's Sunza Bitches in a military Pete bulldog. This is my first go at this blend and I have to say I like it quite a bit. It's a nice, strong blend but that subtle bourbon flavor does something nice for it. View attachment 313897

Just finished smoking 2019 Prince Albert in an undated, unbranded straight smooth brown made in France Los Alton VBF Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Raining and quite heavy so I’ve retreated to the fire, Woodford Double Oak in the glass, Buttered Rum in the Meer and this book to whittle away a little time.

Now smoking Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a year 2021 straight black sandblasted Peterson Ragaire 150 bulldog with an unmounted army mount tapered acrylic cumberland fish tail stem. Time to clean a few pipes.
