Going to have Peterson University Flake in a Rusticated Peterson Giant Bent Billiard Magnum (with a fork-tail “P” stamp) with a P-Lip stem, circa 1974–1983 (Giants with no model numbers from the ’60s are known to exist). It only seems fitting to smoke an Irish pipe while I work on the Bram Stoker® Awards issue of Weird Tales Magazine.

Did a bit of low calorie snacking, and am smoking Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite. Working and listening to Studs Terkel.

A third of a bowl left of Wilke Back Bay w/o perique in a straight smooth brown undated pre-Republic Peterson Dublin Sterling Canadian 264 with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. I got John Brandt to make this for me. It’s not on the menu, but he’ll make you a batch if you ask.

Near the last quarter of this bowl of first release Watch City Rhythm & Blues in a straight smooth brown 1920s-30s Sasieni patent 8 dot Marborough lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Last smoke of the day is 2019 Prince Albert in a straight smooth walnut 1927 KBB Kaywoodie Drinkless 86 dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This model was only made in 1927.

Good Morning everyone. May 1st and typically workers day and all that jazz. I am cleaning a few pipes and looking at different tobacco for the day so I'll circle back round with a pipe, picture and post after I have indulged in coffee!

We started with another bowl of c&d Sansepolcro, in a Peterson. Or at least I think so, since it was in a separate can, for rotation, it was too dry. And it has lost some nicotinic strength. Or at least, that's my sensation. In any case, I enjoy this good tobacco.
