I just purchased last month Astleys 44 & 109, and I just opened the tins today, and I was quite surprised at what I saw. 44 is listed on the tin front as a Dark Virginia Flake, the back of the tin says; ‘A powerful dark Virginia flake matured in the press for a longer period.’ 109 is listed...

Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Getting ready to clean a few pipes.
Now smoking the soon-to-be released Wilke Mediterranean Nights in a medium bend fumed tan crackled year 2020 Ahmet Govem reverse calabash meerschaum with a military mount silver band and black acrylic stem. A Turkish forward blend with a bit of strength.

First try of Peterson Irish Flake in my unknown Meer' and I'm loving it.

Cambridge Flake in the 6 panel bent lattice meer, with some Claret. This really is a fine blend! A spectacular warm sunny day which included mowing the lawn and 1/4 of the field by the pond. Mowing the field is Zen time for me...love it.
