Now smoking year 2017 Savinelli Doblone d’Oro in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. A cup of hot tea is my drink.

Similar only because the topping faded some. Epiphany is rougher, and less sweeter with a tad more burley and Latakia than any version of Relevation I have smoked. In case you're curious, I've smoked Revelation in every decade it was made from this 1940s new-to-me pouch to the final 2004 production.

What were the noticeable differences throughout the respective eras?

Rattrays BLACK MALLORY in a group 4 Dunhill 'Prince' from 1944 (PAT. NO.417574\34)

It's been noted that in 1944 there was a tooling error and in that year both a forward and backward slash stampings is to be found, i.e. /34 and \34 (this only in '34).

(bought at the auction of Tony Irving's House of Pipes in 1990 and the only pre-owned Dunhill I've ever bought)
