I've also been away from the pipe for a bit. Today I finally got around to enjoying a bowl of OGS in my trusty MM Washington cob, followed by some GH BFA in the same, which was really quite nice.
Amazing how well an $8 cob performs. I have some nice briars, but I always seem to reach for this humble cob first.

Thanks Buddy. It’s been hard staying away. You guys are my enablers, and I am genuinely curious to see if not smoking improves the cough ( it hasn’t), so I’ve tried to resist temptation by not participating in pipe talk. But…….

I’m done with this experiment. I’ll probably catch a rash from all the shit the wife will give me, but the peace and relaxation I receive from a bowl of my favorite tobacco helps to dull the sting.

Also, my liver asked for a crutch.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of aged Rattrays Hal O’ The Wynd in a straight smooth brown pre-WWII (Comoy’s) Corinthian De-Luxe 126 pot made for Sutliff in San Francisco with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching Patton, and cleaning a few pipes.

The 1st bowl was only 1/2 a bowl as I wanted to season the bottom half of the chamber
The 2nd bowl, nice as it was, only lasted 20mins in the Opera.
