Here I was still smoking a Toscano. only me and two other people smoked, but only stinky cigarettes from a pack. In the end I didn't bring the pipe, maybe at another party. Here I was with my two nephews, Hugo and Raul. Tobacco and coffee make me smile like a horror movie star.

The Virginia Cream in this Peterson Tankard. This is the third pipe I’ve used with this blend. So far it’s given the best result. I’m finding TVC to be more tart and a rougher than I anticipated. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet and feel there’s probably a better pipe for it. Maybe a pot shape?

Finally home and unpacked. 11pm after a week away with no pipe. out to exercise the 6 panel bent lattice meer with some Wessex Brown Virginia Flake and water. Jarred flakes from a tin I have been loving on. The taste is.. flat. ashy. My tastebuds are still working- i sure don't think it is the Rona. WTF? a bit of flavor finally coming in about 1/4 way in. hmm. not delicious tonight. :-(

Think I know what happened to my tastebuds... while waiting for the ferry to get me the last leg home, consumed about 5 of the 6 'portions' of these tasty chips. I will have been salted to the max, and probably pH of my whole body changed for a spell!
