A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2008 Dunhill My Mixture 965 in a 2002 Ser Jacopo Delecta Fatta A Mano R1 sandblast Rhodesian with a smooth extension at the shank with a military mount and a black acrylic tapered stem. Have enough left for another bowl or two. This should get me to dinner time.

Two successive bowls of C&D Three Friars in a Falcon blasted bantam Dublin. Great stuff, but I must puff gently. Is this a characteristic of C&D burleys? This is the only blend of theirs I smoke with a burley presence.
There are so many factors in a tobacco smoking hot - moisture content, puff rate, the pipe - maybe even barometric pressure! My Davidoff Medallions were heating up, but moisture content was a little high. I have really needed to use my pick to loosen and tamp this. Then too, I have it in a panel pipe. It may be total myth, but it seems to me that panel shaped pipes smoke hotter. So hard to select a single cause let alone blame the tobacco.

Tonight it’s dark birds eye with a little BCA sprinkled in in a Chris Morgan bones bent poker. Last night was the newest batch of GC’s Boneyard. I needed to spend $15 to get free shipping so I bought a pound. It’s a nice mellow English that’s well balanced between the Latakia and Oriental tobaccos. Definitely money well spent.

I'm basically a va and va/per guy with the occasional foray into burleys. Sutliff burleys are very sweet and gentle(Edgeworth match) and I find,so far, that the burley in TF is a little rough edged. Thanks for the response.

Report please. How is it? I once mixed Mac Baren Old Dark Fired and Navy Flake. Both were better separately.
I have been smoking this fairly often, and I quite like it. The nicotine delivery from the Rustica slows down, still packing a strong punch but manageable. Instead of the harsh acrid taste of Rustica, it now tastes pleasantly sweet from the Exotic Passion. Quite good ?
