An experiment gone well! Namely, trying out Lane BCA in a deep-bowled Nachwalter full bent scandi-egg. BCA hasn't worked for me in smaller briars or cobs when I've needed a bit of a change of palat from my beloved Virginias.
Enjoyed a tasty lunch and have about a third of a bowl left of Wilke Rum and Maple in a straight smooth with a tobacco leaf carving on the bottom left, dark brown 1980s Sir Brent pot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Going to do another set of walks soon.
Close to finishing this bowl of D&R Penhooker in a late 40s, early 50s straight black sandblasted Wagner (Comoy’s second) pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem. First time smoking this pipe.
Flake 558 in a Gepetto. Just ordered a Lee Van Cleaf 9mm. No, Lee didn't use a filter, but I wanted something a bit different and the coloring on this one was spectacular. Ordering directly from Turkey was a pain. Not easy and required the card company to be on line. But I waited along time for this one particular pipe to be finished. So, for a fist full of dollars, a new meerschaum is on its way.
Part way through this bowl of Sept. 2015 Savinelli Doblone d’Oro in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem.
