Laying out a rabbit fence around the little trial spot we did last week to see how Bermuda would grow. Original work was scarifying and tilling a 20x20 ply by eyeball from the seat of the tractor, and now two-taping in an accurate squared to the wall 19x20 for the fence made me happy-right on the money-I’ve still got it!

Carter Hall in a clay. @The Clay King Carter Hall would suite the King’s Clay well.View attachment 319345
@TN Jed Nice pipe & good tobacco choice; I've not seen it here in UK before & can't order USA tobacco without getting stung for import duty. Going to take my empty pipe baccy packets when I go to Buxton and get some loose Gawith Hoggarth; not much single use with me!
Booked 2 axe throwing sessions; looking forward to getting my Viking on:)

About a quarter of a bowl left of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Starting to Get Obsessed
I am not loving this old Viprati. Visually, its stunning when cleaned and wiped. It's half full of Three Nuns, which are fine, but because it is so big and heavy I clench and haven't smoked it enough to build a decent cake. The humongous deep bowl would probably require a dozen or more slices. Relights require long matches toward the end, an I'll not risk a torch.

I'm thinking this is one I will make a point of smoking on windy days so it'll smoke itself to season more without breaking a tooth. Probably something wet I have on hand like Marlin Flake or Black Parrot? Lots of talk lately here of St. Bruno, too.

Any advice on this would be appreciated. I'm not giving up... maybe another 20 years?

How would you say it compares to the old US made PA. Also beautiful Kaywoodie.
Suggestive of the old PA but different. Topping is less noticeable with cocoa and liquor (Rum or Bourbon) flavors more in the background. Also less of the chemical note that could show up in the original stuff. Cut of the tobacco is a longer ribbon as well. Good as it is but not a direct copy.

Enjoyed a tall stack of cinnamon raisin French toast with a golden delicious apple on the side. I'm smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Watching the Braves-Yankees game. Gold Star Jamaican Estate Reserve, neat, is my drink.
