Regent Street in my Ranz (no change, 4-5 bowls today so far).
Walked a ways again. Lunch was lasagne. Visited the national museum (Statues mainly, the pugilist and disc thrower) and 2 lesser known basilicas. Then visited the Capuchian monk museum where a deranged monk arranged the bones of dead monks into biblical scenes making a macabre display - no photos, but look it up!
Lastly, finishing a bowl in front of Triton fountain by Bernini.

FYI, I’ve discovered a weird oral health issue possibly smoking related, I have a doc apt, but until I get to the bottom of it, I’m limiting to one big bowl a day. Since I post so much here, I didn’t want to just disappear! Please have me in your thoughts and prayers that I’ll be ble to continue this wonderful hobby! I really do love it! I’m pretty disappointed at the moment! 😩😂
Best wishes. You will be back posting those beautiful pipes on this thread in no time at all!🙏🏼

Due to poor air quality today I broke out a pipe I only occasionally smoke, my Peterson Kapmeer 999 - a 1969-1971 transitional model wherein the tenon fits directly into the wood shank. The chamber is 17mmx35mm but I only loaded 1/2 a bowl. I smoked Sutliffe 507-C flake but instead of folding as I do in larger pipes I rubbed it out. Usually this tobacco tastes like a sweet tea and honey lemon flavor. But in this pipe today I tasted a completely different aspect of the tobacco... it was more like grass, bread and a creamy leather smell and taste throughout. I slow sipped it until it went out naturally at bottom of bowl. It was very, very dry throughout but consistent. It was very different than what I taste in my larger pipes. When done I actually smelled the bowl of the pipe and it had a sweet smell like a walnut pastry on a campfire smell. I think I'm going to have to experiment with this pipe more often. I really enjoyed this bowl. I also enjoyed the rusticated pipe itself which has taken on a shiny glaze appearance of reddish brown on those peaks that are smooth.
I'll have to take a picture but in the meantime here's one from pipedia:

Forgotten what this tastes like fresh, must be ten years since I last smoked it. Probably be another ten years till I smoke it again.

Are you just not a big fan of RY? Why such long brakes between. I have only ever smoked it fresh and like it. I need to buy a few to cellar for a few years.
