Earlier, I did a set of walking reps, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Since then, I smoked a bowl of year 2014 Dunhill Flake in a straight smooth dark brown 1916 Barling The Hunt with beautiful silver work and a black vulcanite saddle stem with an orific bit. It's time for a very late lunch.

No pics today, but:
A tasty bowl of St Bruno in a cob got me through a lively meeting this morning.
And then some C&D Opening Night in the Savinelli 313 this afternoon was also nice.

Tangentially, I wonder if cutting back on my sugar intake would help me to taste the sweetness in Virginias a little better. I have a powerful sweet tooth...

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am nearing the half way mark on this bowl of year 2021 HU Directors Cut in a smooth medium brown slight bend 1950s Comoy’s London Pride 337C prince with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Not doing a second set of walks today to rest a sore foot. Getting ready to post my review of the upcoming Sutliff States of Virginia at TR.

After dinner GLP Stratford in my Briarworkhorse.
It seems as if every corner you turn, there is something amazing to see in Rome.

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't see that you've posted any pictures of Trevi Fountain. When I was in Rome about 16 years ago, the fountain was being dredged so I didn't get a chance to see it in operation. Also, when you went to Pompeii, did you have a chance to get to Sorrento, Capri or the Amalfi Coast? If so, would love to see some pictures.

Going to have Savinelli 140° (by Cornell & Diehl) in my 60th Birthday pipe: the unfinished, natural, sandblasted Savinelli Autograph Extraordinaire (Eccezionale) Fan. Full back story on this unique and rare pipe here. The wood tone in this photo I just took gets a bit closer to the weird flesh-like Silly Putty colour of the natural, uncoated, briar.

Regent Street again while walking to Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano. This is the first Roman church (304AD) where the Pope is bishop, Lateran was the Papal residence until Middle Ages. Had Scala Santa- steps Jesus walked up to meet Pontius Pilat and has his blood. One cannot touch the steps and can ascend upon the wooden cover only on their knees.

I wish you'd consider consolidating all these great photos into its own thread. I'm sure a lot of people who don't follow this thread would love to see them.
