This morning I had my first bowl ever of Viprati from a 2018 tin I opened and whiffed deeply from last night. 'Twas a Secret Santa gift.
In a smooth 314.
I really enjoyed it, different than others I've tried from the genre, I'll have a few more before I reach any long-term conclusions, but it was gentle yet interesting with morning coffee.

Passing the quarter mark on this bowl of year 2013 FVF in a 2002 three quarter bend light brown sandblasted Ardor Urano Fatta A Mano eight sided paneled shaped bulldog sitter with a black acrylic saddle stem. This will last me a while. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
The Peterson Derry 106 with C&D Pegasus. Glass of 50/50 Kombucha and black ice tea.
When I think of Trevi Fountain i remember the laszivere Anita Ekberg in Fellini “La Dolce Vita”.

C&D Mountain Camp, which is the same tobaccos as Bayou Night in different proportions, in a Savinelli Oscar Lucite smooth prince 315KS, a series that does not take the 6 mm balsa filter, or any filter.
We are sharing the U.S. East Coast experiences of Canadian wildfire smoke with air quality alerts expected to be lifted by early pre-dawn hours tomorrow, if all goes well. Meantime, walking the dog or getting the curbside mail may involve inhaling bad particulates and having itchy runny eyes.
Luckily, we don't have a dog, and our cats live indoors to prevent tangles with cars and FIV exposure which cost me a much beloved cat that looked like a cougar. He lived to be 9 years old but should have made it to 18, at least.
I ran errands yesterday despite it all, but today I have laid low.

'17 RO Firestorm (so damn tasty) in the Barling Straight Grain (from James J Fox & Co).
To me it doesn’t taste like dark Virginia nor does it taste like Perique, what it does taste like I can’t explain. The sample I’m smoking is 3 years old and I have smoked it at many moisture levels, including bone dry, and the mouth feel and the flavor never changes. Simply not enjoyable to me on any level. Marlin Flake is supposed to be a companion to Old Gowrie, but I see no resemblance at all. I actually like Old Gowrie quite a bit.
On the back porch enjoying a bowl of 2017 Peterson Irish Flake (my last of the old square tins) in a custom Irish themed Dublin made by Abb's Artisan Pipes while the little dude eats an ice cream pop.
Just finished smoking year 2014 MacBaren Three Nuns in a 1970s full bend smooth straight grain rough top Savinelli Autograph 6 sitter with a cumberland saddle stem. Watching the Braves-Mets game.
